Ce dimanche 25 avril, il a vécu une session d’entraînement particulièrement intense, car il y a beaucoup de vent sur site. C’est ce qu’il nous a expliqué :
« J’ai entamé la 2e session d’entraînement avant la NRC, j’ai rejoint Thomas avec qui je vais faire la course au mois de mai, à Caen. Je l’ai attendu aujourd’hui et il y avait du vent qui soufflait énormément. Je suis parti du coup m’entraîner avec deux camarades sur un autre bateau, Charles et Pierrick, au large de Cherbourg. On a pu envoyer pas mal de manoeuvres, poussant le bateau sous speed, vent dans le dos, voile en avant, c’était très intéressant de voir les différences qu’il y a entre le bateau Free Dom et un autre, super formateur de voir les réglages des autres concurrents.
Demain il y a « cartouche », on va se prendre entre 20 et 30 noeuds de vent, et ce sera encore une très bonne session d’entraînements , avec un changement de voiles, qu’on va prendre très petites… pour que le bateau prenne énormément de vitesse, et le départ du ponton est à 10H ce dimanche », indiquait hier soir Thibaut Lefévère.
